| Hitting Tg With Your Pants! This might be of interest to fellow builders. ![]() We all have boat shop pants with some hardened epoxy on them, right? Well, when my wife was here for a visit, she did my laundry. She puts clothes in the dryer longer than I do and they get hotter. So, my work pants that have been through many wash and dry cycles with large, hard patches of epoxy ended up passing Tg and hitting the max service temperature, at least!!! ![]() The epoxy got soft or melted or something and turned a piece of material that would have been 6" long to 2" long. The pants no longer fit now since I exceeded Tg with them. Guess I'll probably do my post cure very carefully after that demonstration!

| This is something I'll have to keep in mind a number of pairs of shorts and pants in jeopardy. They have that special lumpy patina of epoxy and wisps of glass cloth. |
