You can get cardboard with only one side, this lets it conform to a curve. Carboard boxes have a corrugated layer between 2 flat sheets so it's stiff, with a flat sheet only on one side it bends easily. It comes in rolls, check local paper supply companies for it.

I think you could also start wrapping your male mold with just a couple layers of 6oz E, key it after cure while still on mold, then slit it with a tool of your choice. Might want to peel it off and throw a more release under it, then put it back on, lay up the rest over it. Having a cured and ever-so-slightly expanded base layer may solve mold sticking problems. ...
