We located some in Belfast. I think it would be a safe bet that you will find some within 10 miles of your house. try the local boat yard for further information. There is a Marina just a few streets away from the Twin towers thing. But ive never been,--- I google earthed it from Thailand . Im sure you could do similar.

I am buying the epoxy for my next project from US Composites. http://www.shopmaninc.com/index.html I have not used their epoxy in the past but have been happy with other products from them and decided to give their epoxy a try. Good luck with your project.

Talk to Paul over at Epoxyproducts.com or Joel at Bateau.com. These are the cheapest around at the retail level. This said, you'll be able to find an epoxy formulator in any major metropolitan area.

Gooday 'multiHen' - The bast people in the industry use 'West System' - sure there are others -but you'd be hard to beat the 'West System' - maybe best to stick with the well known brand - & not risk a 'stuff-up - whcih cost heaps to fix up. Ciao, james

So far I've been happy with resin research products. Prices are competitive when shipping is considered as it's included with the resin research prices.

keep in mind that epoxy marine resin costs maybe $40 a gallon (base and curing agent) to manufacture. Containers, labels, shipping etc. add a few bucks and folks need to about double that price to stay in business. That is for the vendors that formulate their epoxies and are not just repackagers of the raw chemicals made by the big chemical companies. Imagine making 500% profits on what you sell! Mostly, epoxy prices are vastly overprices. I know because I have about a dozen different epoxies make by 3rd parties to my specs. - plus about 30 or more epoxies I repackage and sell. Some of the best known epoxy brands are worst products - they reply on marketing instead of quality get get your money. Also they milk the products for max $ years after they stop being viable products in the commercial coatings marketplace. Many barrier coat epoxies are the best example of this 'sucker market'. And consider how many of those marine epoxy companies bother to monitor this, or any of the other boat related forums - even when their sales/marketing folks could do it on company time. paul oman progressive epoxy polymers inc.

zootalaws - we have to marine epoxies - basic no blush and premium no blush. The premium no blush uses a non hazmat curing agent and we do sent it all around the planet via standard US intl mail - comes in a 2.5 gal kit. Lots of it also goes to Canada because non hazmat products have no problems with Customs. PAR - yes, a good soapbox rant is good for the soul every now and then. Glad you all can let me vent from time to time and still tolerate me when I chime in from time to time. paul
