Cleaning a diesel heater

My Webasto diesel water heater do not fire. There is diesel on the fuel line and the return line, when I open the unit can I also se the sparks for a long period and then the unit shoot it self down. I expect the problem is that the fire chamber is dirty. Does anyone know how I can clean it?
