Which center console did you like best? Why?

From the guys who've had Center consoles....
Which one did you like the best and why?
What was so good about it?

Was it one you built?
Did the one you build, work out to be as good as your dream of it was?

What features did you like?

How about the things you didnt like about it?
What would you have in your next CC?

Some of you have a lot to say, experience, guiding, hosting reletives that dont pay any share!
C'mon now! Speak up. Lets see what kind of a great boat we can come up with from our experiences.

Just sold an 89 37 Midnight Express Center Console. 9'6" beam Had triple 225 0ptimaxes cruised at 40 mph and top out at 60 mph. 1,ooo gallon fuel capacity. Had quads. Approx 12,500 light fuel. Needless to say it wasn't used for fishing back in the day.

Awesome, awesome rough water boat. I have been in 4-6 seas with 25 + knot winds and was never once phased by the conditions. This boat would run 30+ knots in this stuff all day long!!! I have sustained speeds of 50 + in rough conditions without ever leaing the water or getting wet.

Negatives, low freeboard.....center console too far back (provided for a nice soft ride but not enough cockpit space.)

otherwise awesome all round boat.......unfortunately I sold it for another 37 Midnight, this one is currently being built and has a long deck (cigarette style)
and will be rigged with quads.

Many thanks for all the replies.
I'm in no position to buy one of the new go-fasters.
I was thinking more along the lines of a 22-25' that I can trailer down to the gulf.
So much has changed since I made that post. Now I dont think I can afford the gas to take a boat like that down to the Gulf n' back.
No more replies are needed now.
Thanks.

Get a Boston-Whaler or a Regulator. Those boats are great!

I mayhave the boat for you! I build 23' boats that have a wheelhouse, v-berth and toilet. Very utilitarian, and built strong. We were commercial boat builders and now we hand build 23' fibreglass lobster boats. Here is one of our Mac 23's. Just a thought. Good luck to you!
