| building folding/breakdown oars I've got a 12foot sailing dink that's plastic over foam and has a solid seat/thwart/daggerboard case amidships. the issue is stowage of oars for auxillary propulsion. as the seat is solid, I can't just slide the oars under the seat, so I'm looking for something that folds/disassembles into a shorter length. I made something extending the two separated halves of an old folbot kayak paddle with closet rod and pvc pipe sections hose clamped on at the joint. I was hoping someone else had made breakdown oars with a more elegant folding/disassembly joint Z I took pix of the hack maybe I'll put 'em up later if I can find the jpg's ![]() |
