Can you say what sort of boatbuilding you are specifically interested in, today most builders have specialised in different materials.

Older fellas have had to do em all, but the newer shippies certainly get involved in whatever they are doing, and rarely change materials.

If it is glass, there is plenty of info available, some of it is unfortunately very old technology, solid laminate stuff, but still can build a decent boat of course.

Boatbuilder Central offers a lot of online tutorials on their products and building methods.

They also support a very active amateur boatbuilding forum which is free to join.

Professional Boat Builder has e-courses on line http://www.proboate-training.com/ Select the Course Catalog.

Also look at my page http://newboatbuilders.org. It does not tell you how to build a boat, but it tells you a lot of things boatbuilders need to know. It's free. Look at the links page. It will give you a lot of links to boat building sites and schools. http://newboatbuilders.com/pages/links.html
