barrier coating epoxy

just finishing up epoxying my wooden runabout. was wondering since it only sees the water for 4 hours most at a time, can i get a way with just using a barrier coat such as aluminum or graphite powers, what about mixing the two together, has anyone done this , by the way what does the finish look like , any pics
