    SALARY RANGE: 35,452.00 - 46,088.00 USD per year

    POSITION INFORMATION: This is a full-time position. This is a permanent appointment.

    In order to qualify for this position candidates must have experience using AutoCad in the development of layout or design drawings for new or existing systems or equipment.

    The incumbent of this position plans, coordinates, and performs technical functions with maritime engineering personnel and develops necessary layout/design drawings of new or existing hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems or equipment. In addition the position performs technical evaluations of drawings, sketches and plans; using AutoCad, prepares detailed layouts of projects based on sketches provided by engineers; reviews ship drawings from contractors to ensure compliance with specifications; assists in the analysis of information contained in the Naval Engineering Technical Information Management System; and assists in project engineering and/or management functions.
