Jeff, While I can see a few merits of having the _New Posts_ button display all unread posts. It does give me the idea (even though that might not be the case) that I have endless hours of reading to do.
The old way while annoying when new posts dissapeared even though you hadn't had the time to read them, this is IMHO worse.
Any chance you can separate the _unread_ from the _new_ (old style) in a way that makes it obvious that I have two pages of new stuff and five pages of stuff that I've decided that I don't want to read (i.e. ignored)?
Will look into it soon.
I really like having both the "since your last visit" on the top and the "unread posts" under the separator on the bottom... I used to frequently get called away before I had finished reading the new threads so I was always having to first use the new threads and then use the today's active threads to get what I wanted, so I personally like the new composite a lot.
But I'll look into ways to make it more distinct.

Jeff - you are doing a superb job (especially for an American) - ignore all criticism - they are mainly from embittered cranks and 'forigners'. Must say I've found a new lease of life since discovering this forum. Breath of fresh air...And great fun antagonising my US 'cousins'....:D :D :D :D
thanks for the excellent work Jeff.
Kinda agree with ErikG ... prefered the old way of keeping current on the posts.
my half cents worth.

I like the new version. Lets me scan new stuff by either method. Great bit of generosity on your part. Thanks.
"cranky foreigner" Not far off. dual citizenship and do not fit in either side of the atlantic.
Maybe I'll head down under. I met a lot like me from there.
too funny

You'll be most welcome nero - down here we look on America as being the sixth state of Australia;)

And I thought the Aussies lived on the original Gilligan's Island. Fancy that.

We do, Cyclops - and that's why we look on America as the sixth State of Australia....:D

'Sfunny, that, Bergalia - I always thought Australia was the first State of Inebriation :)
Can't imagine what the sixth state would be like...

No, Steve. Getting legless is the first state - inebriation comes much later...:D
