Liner

As I understand, a liner of a boat is the piece that includes the floor and the side gunwale. Possibly there might be a third piece called a gunwale Cap.

So theoritcally, the liner would be epoxyed or attached to the stringers, and then the sides are connected somehow..? Then the gunwale cap would be attached on top...

Does this make sense???

The liner may include the deck and is screwed or riveted to the hull. It may be a third piece apart from the deck. Also, liners may be partial and form the cockpit and other the interior.
