Rhino 3D Modeler Needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a naval architect or the design office
manager, you will model the interior, exterior, cabinetry
and furnishings of large 110’-320’ (34m-85m) super-yachts.
Projects vary substantially and are both challenging and
interesting. They might include: creating 3-D concept
models from hand-drawn sketches; AutoCAD drawings;
verbal instructions; producing output used for molds
and tooling; or developing a printed design proposal for
a client. Simultaneous work on multiple projects is the
norm. You will never be bored.

2-3 years of on-the-job, professional experience
with Rhino 3D is mandatory. Marine applications
experience is preferred but not required. Modeling
work in architecture or industrial design is acceptable.
The successful applicant will have a strong portfolio of
work and provide solid references. Skill transferring
data between Rhino 3-D and the AutoCAD
family of products will be essential for success
in the position. Experience with some ray trace
rendering system is required.
Drafting experience with AutoCAD would be a major
plus as would experience with Flamingo.
You must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid U.S. work
Permit.
Work Location:
This is a full time, on-site position in San Diego,
California located in the prestigious Shelter Island
yachting district. Relocation assistance is not
available for this position.
Application Instructions:
E-mail a résumé and cover letter to the address below.
Provide 2 or 3 examples of your work in an easily
viewed and managed format such as PDF files,
JPEGs, or an Internet URL.
