Hello Folks, New To This Site. I Have A Wellcraft 210 Classic With A Cuddy Cabin, I Would Like To Convert This To A Bow Rider But Am Questioning The Integritity Of The Hull If I Remove The Top Deck. Would Anyone Have An Idea If This Type Of Conversion Is Possible With This Hull Design. Thanks
I s'pose it could be done, but you are contemplating opening a can of worms. The cuddy cabin does provide structural strength to the hull. When a manufacturere creates a bow rider model, they engineer the insert to provide the strength to the hull that is lost by removing the deck/cuddy. I would suggest that you not do this until you have reseached it pretty thoroughly and inspected several bow rider boats carefully and familiarized yourself with how they are put together internally.
