26" Bristol, needs new 6HP outboard

I have a 2 stroke 6HP now. It pushes me to hull speed. (It died)

I have the 4 Stroke Suzuki 6HP and the 4 Stroke Nissan 6HP (Both have long shaft) in mind. I am worried that these will NOT perform like the 6HP 2 stroke I have now. Based on the gearing and prop size.

any other suggestions? I have a very small well to go in, so that puts the 8 and 9.9 out of the size requirements.

Also does anyone make the gearing and props for sail applications right now?

Its smaller but fits into the boat.

Performance: Yep is get's me up to 6 knots, a squeaker bit faster than the old 6 HP 2 stroke that got me up to 5.6 knots. Plus NO fumes, and better gas millage. Plus NO mixing gas and oil.

CONS: Going from a 2 cly to a 1 cly engine, means MORE vibration at the high end. Ok at 5 Knots or less.

Noise: Can go one way or the other. They both sounded loud.

But this one spits out lots of H2O for cooling. I felt the water and it hardly gets warm, as so much is going through the system.
