Greetings, this is my first posting. I live on an electric only lake. And I'm wanting the most hp for my 21 foot pontoon. I'd like to know where to purchase an eCycle with the counter rotating props. Or if there is a better solution. Thanks,

Coaxial counter-rotation is probably not going to help you much, I'd think. The main reason for this type of setup is to cut down on side thrust on sterndrives, for better handling. For what you want I'd think you're after a single, large-diameter/low-pitch prop. The ones Jonathan mentions above look like a good place to start.

With as much wetted surfacebelow and hull above the water , you might need 2 motors of 24 volt to go into a breeze.

Check out the Glen-L site. I don't have the address right now, but I know they have plans for building your own electric outboard for cheap like borscht. Seriously fun project!

Remember! Each gear set reduces the power at the prop. A motor that drives the prop directly with the right sized prop is best. Plus a neutral and reverse.-----------------You are asking for a large heavy electric drive to move that much boat and people. Borrow smaller gas motors till you find the smallest hp that does the job you need. Post back with the make and HP. We can then give a real power size in electric. " Lead Sleds " forever.
