What is transom angle?

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting so please be kind. I have what I think is a simple question. On the howard custom boats website for the 25 bullet http://www.howardboats.com/25_bullett.html they list the hull deadrise angle of 22.5 degrees and a transom angle of 15 degrees. What is transome angle, and how does it differ from deadrise angle?

That's transom angle, i.e. (or so I think) the angle of the transom's incline.

The angle of a flat transom is his inclination referred to the base line.
It is important because each propulsion systems like Arneson, stern drive etc. require his own transom inclination.
The deadrise is the inclination of the bottom from inner chine to base line.
