Some good stuff there for sure!
I need to nest aluminum parts, I wonder if these wood based programs will allow me to get around that...will investigate!

Not free parhaps but TouchCAD enables you to nest unfolded panels as an intergrated part of the Unfold view, and without loosing the dynamic link to the 3D model. www.touchcad.com
