Shipping a mold

I have purchased a large mold for a 44 ft sport fisher that I need to ship to an overseas location. I am not sure how to go about doing this. It needs to go by sea of course, but what type of company will do this? Does the mold need a cradle or does it go in a container or ??? Anyone have any leads for shipping companies would be great.

Also, if the mold needs any special preparation before being shipped???

The problems you have mentioned are only the tip of the iceberg. You also need to clear customs on both sides, tarriff's etc. You need to get in touch with a Freight Forwarder, or shipping agent. If you can't find any where you are to help with this, drop me a line. I don't have the # handy, but I do know of an agent here in New Orleans that deals with these issues globally.

Firstly, you cannot containerise a 44' or so mould, secondly, if you require a quality answer, you better name man and horse.
