Hello!
Do anybody know a study/research on planing boat spray rails? I am speaking spray rails attached onto bottom of boat, not above chine.

Try a search of the term "lifting strakes" rather than spray rails
Hello Hannu,
I have been looking for the same thing for over 8 months, and there is a little available by searching this forum. As a matter of interest, there is nothing directly applicable in the SNAME CD, but Clement 1991 and Blount 1993 make some comments which are relevant. Please let me know if you find anything else useful.

Ok, I thought the term for these, but didn't find better. Maybe lifting strakes is better since spray rails correlate usually to the rails above chine.

Do you know the exact titles for Clement and Blount studies? I have earlier papers of both Clement and Blount. They have published studies regarding planing boats.
