I had this channel when i lived in Maastricht, i wounder if there's a way to get it in the states. TV in the US isnt exactly entertaining, a sailing channel might inspire me to actualy buy a tele.

90% italian stuff and dozens of reruns but cant get enough :)
on the same chanels i just saw: www.c-marina.com ( from c-map? ) should give world wide wheater reports, port info and much more, have to check...

I see sailing channel for a couple of hours each week; yipster is right: is not the real world of sailing, it is deeply focused on some "trendy" racing classes (almost Farr 40, maxi and IMS) and it suggests that sailing is a thing for rich classy people who reach marina in their new BMW spider with a Hollywood actress on the back seat....very few minutes of broadcasting are related to dinghy races or "normal" sailing, i mean that one practiced by 90% of sailors with "normal boats"; there are no spaces dedicated to all the little stuffs concerning boat manteinance and little works, suggestings tools and materials (i'd find it very interesting); even boat reviews deals with mega-yacht (ever seen a sailing boat with a jacuzzi on the deck????) for tycoons. I'm currently trying to see the Omega seamaster news to catch some clip about vendee globe;anyway Sailing Channel it's the only chance here in Italy to see some sailing stuffs not related to Americas cup :-((((

Sailing channel will very soon have a transition to a pay tv platform (sky)
so we will loose this very comfartable channel...

dont want a yacuzi but do enjoy sailing channal. stormy wheather camera flythrough's between multihulls -how they do that- seeing how sharp the hulls, flying on just one ama and get some dynamic ideas. no it does not bore me seeing that over and over. powerboats with fabulous interior woodworking with plasma screens sliding out but i rather move south to the sunny med than pay per view. pitty to hear we soon lose this channel...
