Hull Building-up on mold

Hello all,

I’m looking for information on how to build a balsa or foam sandwich hull on a male mold. Do you have any book, web site (preferably with pictures) or other reference material to suggest.

I would like to know more about the construction of the male mold, the material to use (balsa vs foam) the layers sequence (from the batten to the paint).

Hi Francis, not very shure about the 2 exact titles, these are books that i've read and I'm reading 'cause I'm starting a building project.

The first is Boatbuilding with Baltek DuraKore
by David G. Brown

The other one is Fiberglass Boatbuilding For Amateurs" By Ken Hankinson

The last one is a mid 80's very good book about all kinds of techniques for building f.glass boats on male molds.
