I am located in long island ny and can not locate a supply of aluminum tube to modify a top i purchased for my boat.Can i use 6061t6 and just clearcoat it.Does anyone know where to but anodized aluminum.

You can us 6061 T6 and weld it. If you do not need to weld you can
also buy anodized aluminium. Most of the stockholders of aluminium have
some anodized aluminium available or can arrange this for you.

6061 may not bend without breaking. I don't remember which will bend and not break but this Arrowmarine person should know.
