My 'tech level' is such that I've been in glass-composite repairs for quite some time,,have familiarity with vacuum work,,,am just getting involved with a 28' build project during plug fairing, and the plan is to use infusion in production of these....so I am beginning my process of 'gearing up' for this technology.,and have seen a demo-run of an infusion last week.
Being very much into strength/weight ratios,,and small high performance boats,,,,The 'rowcat' http://www.rocat.co.uk/boat/technology.htm is the first I've heard of a 1part hull,,where the cloth is layed in both molds, then both molds bolted together,,,a bladder--INFLATED,,,and then a vacuum applied for resin infusion --maybe I'm getting it wrong, but it sure sounds like what they're doing......anyone have more inf on the combination of pressure,,,and vacuum ,,in 1 part boatmaking--no glued seams?!?
