Alluminum V-Hull Power Boat

Hello i am looking to find out if there is a company out there or a marine architect that has or is curently designing a fast deep v-hulled power boat out of alluminum , i am looking for a mono hull design to incorporate diesel power plant coupleled with an arnusen surface drive in a fast deep v configuration complete with steps in the 24 to 26 ft range. I have a few other ideas in mind to be incorporated into this hull and any information or help someone could provide me would be greatly appretiated.

thanks for your reply hoagey...... ive put a couple other posts in a few other forums seems that my quest is very unusual...... do you know if spetialty marine contractors ..... has a web site? i am more looking for plans for my own construction purpose but it needs to be engineered my a marine architect and designer...... to get a functioning hull that will preform to my expectations first time

They also design in aluminum. Also check out the 'Metal Boat Society'.

thanks for your help Hoagy..... checked out specmar and got a response form them they are far to busy at the moment and the chap gave me a couple other contact numbers to check out

Hi,

I'm planning on having Svendsen Boats of Wrangell Alaska build something similar for me. Would you mind sharing your ideas? I'm trying to build a 26 center console for fishing that has an offshore style hull. They're used to building commercial fishing boats and I'd like to give them some ideas as to how to make mine a bit more sporty. Since they make commerical boats, I'm sure they'll make it strong enough...I just need to give them some direction as to the design.
