...but if the product lives up to her appearance on your site - very nice! I esp. like the top you have put on her.

Good luck with the project.

Paul

PS when you do your press releases don't forget "The Yacht Report", She would make a great tender for some of my customers!

I had never heard of it either so I did a little searching - I believe this is the magazine http://www.theyachtreport.com/ and it looks pretty nice. Thanks Paul.

Oh, and nice boat russell!

There is just one thing I have to say ditch the window. If you must have it add a little more style. Other than that it Looks GooD!!

Very nice looking hull and layout. It appears that the transom
is very deep and could possibly cause problems when fighting
a fish. It also would be nice to offer an option of a having a flat
deck in lieu of the stepped one shown. I would suggest having
one large hatch in front of the console in lieu of the split hatches.
You could use an actuator to lift the hatch from the console.

What is the projected performance of the boat as shown?

Are you planning on releasing a shorter version? The 31-34'
design would be capable of decent speeds with twin engines
instead of three.

Did you CNC CAD for your mold designs?

Great boat!

Doug

Gee doug you must be reading my mind. First the forward hatch in its final design is going to be a single hatch . this artist cocept was done almost a year ago . also there will be an optional side door which is designed to sink vertical to the hull side to haul in whatever. when diveing the door will have built in steps to allow easy acess. Yes michel peters did all the cad work for www.vectorworks.com to do all tooling . Thanks for your interest. Hull #1 should be in the water in early august.:)

doug I forgot 2 items you asked about .Projected speed for the 3 engine install is 68mph for twins. 52mph, also a 32ft and 34ft are on the drawing boards.

I have to say ditch the windowI thought the same thing when I looked at it. The side window is my least favorite element - it makes it look kind of retro. But then I noticed that if you click on the center console a plan pops up with the "cabin" which consists of not only a head but also a berth. If you were going to sleep in there, the window would make a lot of difference. So style-wise I don't like it, but function wise it's kind of nice.

I love the hull, and the sheer line is really nice, and the deck plan I really like too. It's a great boat! Can't wait to see the real deal.

Russell - so we should start bugging you in June and July to see some more pictures of it under construction :D

Russell,

Thanks for the reply on my comments.

On a tournament boat the cabin isn't necessary. I am
sure that the cabin really increases the price of the boat. The
console with a recessed head would be adequate
and that would leave you tons of room for a large
fish or storage boxes up front

Let us know when you have brochures available.

Thanks,

Doug

Russell,

What is the base price of your boat minus the engines?

Thanks,

Doug

Base price on the boat is $139,500. without power. When compairing priceing against fountian contender ect. look at our standard equipment . a lot of it are options on other boats.

russell erickso are you going to build a larger model in the future?
Say................42'? Asking for two reasons. And we both would come out on the better end!!
A. It is a size not found with stepped hull sportfishing boats unlike 38' which fountian has and yellowfin has a 36' so you would be in a larger boat market than them. overkill said about building a 31 to 34' yes it is more affordable but there is a ton of competition!

B. I have a 42' Stepped hull Mold for sale!! (Check Market Place)

Nomad,

How much are you asking for the mold?
How many steps are in the hull and what is beam?
Could you post pictures of a completed hull?

Sorry for all the questions,

Thanks,

Doug

nomad i though you were geting ready to go back into boatbuilding? cant make the next step quite yet .have 3 major magazines that want to do an artical on the boat before the first is built and have four boats sold. i am curious though did donald blount design your 42 if not i would be surprised if it were a rybo.

The beam is 15' 6'' it is a two stepped hull and for pictures view the photo gallery at my website ~ www.vernese.com (http://www.vernese.com). I bid the mold to yellowfin at 50k and he is going to look at the mold and a part from it this next week after ska.

Guest: No donald blount did not design it and when I asked him about it he said it never happened. But I have talked to the people who designed and built it. It was called project tiger shark and by the time it was finished he had a 50 something foot boat built and never built any. After some time the mold switched hands and one was built which I do not know the location of and again it sat until I bought it. I built one which was my only plan for the mold. But you confused me with

There you lost me. What do you mean getting back into boatbuilding I never left it! Do I some how known you?

Your new boat looks quite impressive. I'm sure that you will hit the market in the bullseye! I do have one observation and question; could I order the boat with a solid bottom and is it possible to adapt pure inboard power train into your vessel?
Best of Luck.
Larry
