Well, I finally got the bracket mounted, and the motor at the correct height. The question I have is with a 17 pitch prop I was ventilating when the boat was on plane at top speed (29mph). I switched the prop to a 19 pitch prop and it greatly reduced the ventilation but there is still some at top speed. Do I live with this or is there anything else that can be done. I don't really want to install a Jack Plate, but thought about oblonging the top two mount holes as the lower holes are slotted. This would allow me to drop the motor some. I'm guessing that I need to go about half the distance between holes or 10mm.

How about installing a larger, aftermarket cavitation plate?

What would that do and who makes them?
