I am restoring a hydroplane as pics have already been up on here but thats not the point what type of material is used in outboard hydroplanes or what material could i use for the clear windshield

101 lexan?

Lexan is less likely to crack, but it scratches easier. If you are drilling holes, it is worth spending the money on a plastic drill bit. They are less likely to grab and crack the sheet.

ok thanks I will look In to that is there other material i should look at like other transparent plastics and stuff used in boats

Those are the usual materials. There may be some exotics for very high performance.
