Does anybody know where I might find hull parts for an I14? Specifically I'm looking for a molded piece of plastic sheet that screws on the top and the bottom of the centerboard trunk. Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated.
Tnx, Ken

Ken,
Some folks use regular old drafting mylar for the bottom slot. Just fix it in place and cut the slit. Ity seals pretty well, but is flexy enough to let the board up and down.
Failing that, a bit of rubber floor mat used to work "back in the day".

Thanks Steve. We'll give that a try. I was going to try cutting a piece of delrin sheet (tres expensive) or those plastic matts used to protect floors from office chairs etc.

The trunk needs re-glassing inside and out where it meets the hull ... I'm sure you know that routine. We'll be grinding out the old stuff and re-glassing. Actually was thinking of using epoxy instead. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks again.

Ken

Ken,
Using epoxy over polyester is fine - using polyester over epoxy is not.
Enjoy...
