I need help finding a good place to buy fittings to fit a Racor 500 filter. I think the in & outlets of the fuel filter are 3/4" national fine but the install pamphlet does not mention anything. I need to get from the Racor filter to 3/8" hose barb. All the fittings I am finding are national pipe thread and don't fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to their web site, the fittings are either 3/4-16 UNF or optional 3/8 NPT. If you have the 3/4 it is designed to have an o ring to make the seal. If you can't find the fittings in the hardware store, might want to try a shop that repairs/services 18 wheelers.

Get thee to the local Hydraulic store.
The place where they make up hyd hoses as you wait.
Here in FL its "Parker- Hanifin" (SP?) that will have just what you need to install the Raycor.
Look for bulldozers on trailers and garbage trucks parked outside.

"Look for bulldozers on trailers and garbage trucks parked outside." - Used to be logging trucks, too. It's the same no matter where you live, I think!

Sometimes irrigation shops can help out too.

We had a thread running a couple of years ago and the filters turned out to be Racor 500FG's. I have these on my own boat and the threads are 9/16" UNF, but I'm sure the new ones are 3/4" UNF.
I had the website for the Racor fittings supplier, but when I tried it just now, they are rebuilding the site or something.
Here is some of their older fittings, but I don't see any reference to particular filters, there are various Racor 500 models and yours should have letters after the 500.

NAPA Auto Parts.
Try the biggest NAPA in your area. Not all have the Hydraulic Hose Machine but the ones that do will have the fittings you need. I have them make up 6,000psi hises with swivel fittings when I need them
as far as 3/8 NPT Home Depot has those and you can get stainless steel braided 2,000 psihigh pressure hose in the plumbing/appliance dept to work for fuel & hydraulics cheap. OK for a little runnabout type boat with outboards
