If this workd as they say it could not be kept a secret and someone would have made and sold millions of units. Reminds me of the discovery of "Cold Fusion"

and "Man Made Global Warming".... All Hype and No Substance.....

Talk about a stretch...not hard to figure out what your obsession is.;)

If an ad that promises free energy and actually uses the term "perpetual motion" somehow reminds you of global warming, there's probably nothing that wouldn't. I can hear you now: "yeah, Sara Lee claims they make the best cheesecake in the world--just like scientific frauds claim global warming is real."

Speaking of perpetual motion that isn't, now that global warming is over, the ice caps should return to the poles, which in turn will speed up the rotation of the earth until the ice caps melt again, which will slow down the rotation of the earth, like when the ice skater raises her arms and then extends them out to the sides. I think that's cool.

Jeez...any day now, I expect to log into a porn site and find you guys beating up on global warming, instead of sexy babes. Don't you ever give it a rest?:(

The Magiwork mob seem to be stretching the truth somewhat, they claim that homes have been poewered by the device, yet NO evidence can be substantiated (so far at least)...yes the device can be made to work (minute output), but to my belief so far no one has made one that is actually connected to the grid power (as arre solar panels etc) and actually making household power.

P.S. I'm cold. We don't have California weather here in the Sunshine State.:D

And never beat up on a sexy babe. You will get arrested.;)

The general concept (permanent magnets spinning past a coil) has been around for a long time. Here's a small and simple version you can build yourself to prove it works. I'm currently building one similar.

But they're claiming it's free energy....that you can keep recycling it forever, with no loss. As I pointed out, they actually used the term "perpetual motion" in their ad. I guess they think their target demographic is pretty dumb....

It is! You would not believe how many otherwise intelligent people invest in such schemes.

This gives some proper calculations on the efficiency claim. It looks about what I would expect from the device and shows you should not let mechanical engineers interpret what is happening in an electrical circuit.

interesting stuff but...
any generator is having significant drag if you draw the electrical energy from it... in one their videos a few bulbs are been lit - not a very big consumer and therefore not a big power-draw...
i think that as soon as you draw significant amps from the generator to power some device, drag is going up and thus requiring more input power...

OK, let us ALL take a Breath here.... I, for one, have NO Problem with "Global Warming"... I live in Alaska, on the Coast, VERY Near, (1/2 Mile) Glacier Bay National Park in the USA.... I can see Global Warming effects, out my window. Glaciers ARE receding, and have been for the passed 200 years, at least. NOW if you will reread my Post, what I Stated IS, "Man Made Global Warming" is not substantiated in Science, and is on the Scientific par with Cold Fusion, as published by the U of Utah team. Maybe there are some interesting things that point toward Both Issues, HOWEVER, there isn't ANY Consensus, and NEVER has been, or even Significant Peer Reviewed Evidence, that demonstrates Conclusive Documentation of either Hypothesis. Newton's Laws of ThermoDynamics have been around for a LONG Time, and have yet to be Demonstrated Wrong, and really haven't even been dented, or bent even slightly. Many have tried, and ALL have Failed....

Ill keep the three tit'd woman to the random pictures thread if you keep the BS climate thread

agreed

and while your pondering that check out Naomi Oreske's flick
"the american denial of climate change"
might enlighten you as to the facts of consensus
97% is about the largest consensus ever

as the Rocky and Bullwinkle show would say

while entitled to your own opinion
you are not entitled to your own facts

or

you aint going to learn
what you don't want to know

Do yourself a favour and every time you see something marvelous that involves MAGNETS, skip the page, delete the email or don't bother reading it because it is a SCAM.
Google magnet, and find one single solitary gadget sold that actually works. There is none. The only thing magnets are good for is...attract metal, like your fridge magnet.
That's it. That is all they are good for and certainly not generating electricity for free, nor cure rheumatism, nor kill algae in diesel, nor potentiate fuel molecules to burn hotter, they do not enlarge your penis, don't make your hair grow, don't keep bad luck away, don't fix your eyesight, don't stop tinea, and don't help to select the winning number in the casino.

As for anthropologic climate change, that one is a RELIGION and all is required is to believe.
Just like those who believe images weep and queue up to touch it, THose who believe there are werewolf, the lock ness monster, the man on the moon, the bogy man and the tooth fairy. No point rationalise about Man Made Global warming.

I only wish I see the day that the ******** artist like Al Gore have their day in court and are convicted of mass fraud and put in gaol

well - i got a torch here with nothing but a samll dynamo and some batteries (rechargeable) in it... and a handle...
i turn the handle a couple of minutes and the torch has enough electricity in its now charged batteries for iluminating my way home in a pitch-dark night...

some might call that 'electricity for free'... :P
but i know what you mean because turning the handle could be rather exhausting and tiresome... ;)

That drum oughta be about worn out by now. Or at least ready for a new stick....

Every time I turn around, someone is equating something they don't like or believe with religion. It gets [bleep]ing old, and for some reason it mostly seems to come from what we in this country would consider the political and/or cultural right: climate change is a religion; environmentalism is a religion; gun control is a religion; evolution is a religion; liberalism is a religion. Even atheism--which by definition is a lack of religion--is a religion to people who don't like it.

Time to find a new label, guys. That one's been reused so many times it doesn't stick very well any more.

Not quite true Marco1.
A magnet moving near a conductor generates electricity. That is probably the cause of all these fairy tales.

And a heavy magnet can indeed enlarge your penis. All you need is a piece of rope.

I think the part that confuses people is the amount of energy that goes into making a permanent magnet vs the amount it expends at say hangin on a fridge for a few years

seems to really bring up some wild ideas

thing is your naturally not going to be getting more out of it than you put in

but some folks sure seem hell bent on trying

No Boston, hanging on the fridge takes no energy at all.....
