I came across this article by pure chance

http://www.mg.co.za/article/2009-11-13-romance-of-the-ransom

and thought that some may like to read it

it deals with the fact that the pirates are local heroes and are splashing big dollars around like there is no tomorrow

My 2 cents = NUKE THE MOTHER FU3KERS there are no innocents in those towns, take the whole lot out and flatten those cities

http://www.sail-world.com/Cruising/Kidnapped-sailors-ill-and-refusing-to-eat-or-drink/63349

these two will die from bad water alone

All a shipping co. would have to do is get me a tripodded 50 cal with sights and starlight.
And maybe a Barrett.

They wouldn't even have to pay me,just feed me and get me a few crates of ammo.

Just a thought.. Wondering (as allways) how to get the funds to boat(ing).
So how about raiding those mfs and pirate the pirates. Some "poor" goverment in the neigborhood (like India) could lease the hardware against 50% share and all the poor boatbuilders had a chance to solve the fundamental handicap and collect some cash :P

Well Manie, I don't see how it is much difference there from here. Your power co ****** just paid themselves 50M bonusses, now if I have so much I wouldn't give a **** if they fire me or chase me away or accuse me of anything.

All that is going to happen is the next set of ambitious to get rich quicks are going to be put in place and the same thing will repeat over and over. A quick way to turn out multi millionaire philamons and YOU make them rich.

So, what's so different. Keep in mind that is only the one -com co, how about the rest of them, and that doesn't even include the gov.

We know their town, so why not 1 Daisy Cutter or MOAB? One should be adequate to deplete the recruit base for a while.

"However, dividing up the ransom can be complicated by the competing interests of dozens of pirates, businessmen and middlemen buy who buy "shares" in a hijacking, as well as by clan rivalries.

The pirates mostly organise themselves on a clan basis. Sharing the ransom can be difficult or reaching agreements on how to release hostages after payment," said a pirate who declined to be named."

What they actually need is a few lawyers to help sorting out the sharing.. In the end the pirates will be poorer and more humiliated than any western government could ever made them to be;)

I hear the CIA have chosen a far more subtle way to dispose of the pirates: someone has offered to build a batch of cheap pirate boats in Thailand....... :P

Come come you guys. Those 'poor' people does not know better. How can you expect from them to know better than to do what they do. They had no education and besides, they have human rights.

Instead of judgng them you should rather prey for them and that they will stop (all by themselves of caurse and who knows they may even give all the money back) and remember to prey for world piece and prey that they somehow miss you and does not attack your little boat.

Ok anything else too, but then only if nobody gets hurt.

Yeah, don't hurt them. Kill them quick.

The hulls on the Thai built pirate boats are secured with string. There'll be no pain....

I hope they use granny knots.

masalai
11-20-2009, 04:45 AM
nooooo they hold too good (granney knots), just sealing wax (as used long ago to seal letters or add ones signet imprint) - looks better and more "official-like":D:P:o

apex1
11-20-2009, 11:24 AM
No matter string, sealing wax or what so ever holds them together. As long as they are Thai built Cat´s, I´m sure the effect RHP had in mind will be seen.
And yes we should pray for them!
We should pray for all of them!
No matter pirate or pirated.
As long as they are on the ocean in such a Cat, we shall prey. (some to be drown, some to survive)

You ****** were supposed to strongly oppose the shitty suggestion I offered in my previous post.

This is the problem. The world does not learn and choose to forget what happened yesterday. Tomorrow those poor pirates may rule the world, since it seems no one take any steps against them, and they will go from strength to strength and will soon become a force to recon with. Wait until they have an army to defend their activities.

The whole world expects the US to do something about it. The rest sit around with folded arms and with a **** attitude, ready to condemn the US for whatever steps they take.

What is wrong with countries in todays time. If someone steals your boat it's a friggin declaration of war. Get over there, take your own back, and make sure they won't even think about it again never mind trying to.

If you justify one crime, you must justify them all. You either strengthen the pillar you stand on or destroy it completely and live with the consequences. You cannot have a poor foundation and expect a building to remain upright.

Get rid of th fcukers once and for all.

apex1
11-20-2009, 12:34 PM
Yeah Fanie, you´re so right...............

except for the US part. No one can wait for them, no one gets old enough to see them act properly. There is no oil you know.
And nobody did wait for them. Other Navy´s are doing the job already (well US do part of it).
But now we have the problem of acting "politically correct". Instead of hunting the vultures we should burn the nest, but then you´ll see the world whining about the innocent eggs we destroyed.

yeahh...

I appologise for desagreeing Richard. If they were doing their job, then how come it even makes the news on how well it goes with them. And a pirate being into this business for twenty years ? Phew. We're missing something here.

If the pirates does not act politically correct why should any one else ? You cannot restrict yourself if it is to the advantage of the criminal opposition, seems it enhances them instead. The swear word is human rights and political correct actions, the pirates will absolutely abuse it to get away with murder.

I'd like to stomp on a few of those pirates eggs :D I wonder why they won't burn the nest and the aggs... are they scared there won't be any pirates left to frustrate the future generations or what :D Also seems to me they have enough oil and funding to keep doing all this for an extended period of time.

I believe American Law still allows a captain to hang pirates from the yard. They should at least fit a mast with a yard arm to let the captains do their job.

A lot has to do with the romantic image created for the pirates. They were known as murderers, rapist and thieves until Lord Byron romanticised them. Movies took over and made them cool. We should teach kids that this *******s are nothing but human garbage.

Couldn't agree more. What's needed is some tough action from the countries whose ships ply these waters.

It should be mandatory for every ship or yacht transiting the area to pick up and drop off an armed riding crew from, maybe three, mother ships at the entry and exit points.

Drones could be flown from these ships and be called in by the armed crew, who could laser target the attacking vessel, so that the drones could blow them out of the water.

A few months of this treatment would soon make any would be "pirate" think again.

You mean tough acrion from everyone.

A few months of this treatment

No. Get it over quickly. It will cost a lot less and save productive time.
Time to set an example for a change just in case the same thing is going to catch on elsewhere.

Drone attack the mother ships and leave the pirates marooned 600 miles off shore.

Why waste an expensive drone, a flamethrower from 20 yards would suffice.
