I did a search for this product and found a few posts but not too much useful information. I'm wondering if anyone has used this product and if so what were your impressions.

My new decks are in and will be painted with Interlux Perfection in the spring. I am wondering if this material might be a good alternative to teak step pads where pasengers step on the side deck to enter the boat off the dock.

Any input would be appreciated.

Here's the link to the manufacturer.....

Thanks Ocean.....There's not much information on this product that I can find. A person I know on another forum voluntered to send me a small piece of scrap that he had from doing his swim platform in the material. I'm not really confident in this stuff as he said that he had removed it from his boat because small particles of the material abraided when people walked on it and were getting tracked into his boat making a mess.

I guess we'll see when I get some to test...

Thanks for the tip.....

Go for black locust instead. Cheap, durable, attractive, easy to apply and easy to replace. And no hype about tropical woods. (well, I wonder if the tropical woods do better with the pollution, caused by producing "alternative" decking)

Just my 2c

Black Locust.....I'll take a look at that Richard.

I'm lucky that living "in the country" about 2 hours north of New York City I have a great source of hardwood lumber only 2 miles away from my home. I'm sure that they have black locust.

Thanks!
