A friend recently bought a boat from Discovery Harbour Yacht sales in Campbell River BC. When she got her boat home, the battery charger , which I saw aboard earlier, and which was on the boat's equipment list, was missing . When she asked George the broker where it was, he got very defensive . George had the other key.
Thus , when you buy a boat , before handing over the cheque ,it is probably a good idea to go thru the equipment list and make sure everything is there. Then change the locks immediately.
And don't do buisiness with a sleazy broker.

Most buyers I guess, have no way to choose a broker, they choose a boat. When the seller has choosen a snakeoil salesman what would you do?
Btw. "whats on the list is on the boat" if not: trouble!

Richard
