Brings two questions to my mind. First, is the racing of saling boats going the same way as GP bikes in the reguard to who has the best electronics aboard is going to have the biggest advantage. Second, will this electronic system ever become smart enough to beat the current super star saliors who use feel more than instruments to get the best out of the boats.

I've been thinking of taking it one step more where the skipper has a PDA where he can control every aspect of his boat from the PDA, imagine walk up to your boat and the engine/s are already warmed up because you told them to when you got out of the car. Or your setting your anchor and you have total engine control while you up foreward. It will only be a matter of time.
