I'm working on a new project that requires shooting polyflake on 14 sq feet of surface and I have a few questions. The problem is that I've never shot flake before.

1.) Where can I buy poly or metal flake in the US. My supplier API no longer carries it.

2.) How much flake is added per quart of gel? What volume is needed to cover 14 sq feet?

3.) What size tip is used to deliver the flake via cup gun.

Thanks
Jeff

1. I didn't have time to Google it, but the info on suppliers is easy to find that way.

2. 10 to 20% by weight is the common range. It will depend on the size of flake, the color and the look you want to achieve.

3. Not sure on a cup gun, the tip size is already fairly large, but you should still go at least one size larger than normal.

Its a three step process, 1 clear, 2 clear with flake mixed in, 3 then a backup color.
