Does anyone have experience with his designs? Nice looking designs. Are the flat bottoms prone to slamming?

Hi Simon, I'm building a Delaveau 25' Tri. Given that the flat portion of the main hulls ie. the bottom are so narrow I doubt slamming would generally be an issue. Flat bottom is not an unusual configuration for a tri main hull. Most common would likely be the Tremolino possibly followed by Marples Seaclipper 28. Both well regarded designs.

I have a mate with Schionning Wilderness. It has a flat bottom and slaps a lot. He is considering putting a curve on the front section. I think a tri would have less of an issue than a cat as a tri leans a lot more than a cat so a flat bottom is not flat when sailing hard.
