I am building a 10 metre Roberts steel Euro 1000 which I was going to fit with direct glazed toughened glass windows until I met a boatbuilder who recons I'm mad if I dont use the latest Perspex or Lexan instead can anyone help me who has had good or bad experience with any of the above.

You don't want lexan. It will fog up in three years, so badly, you won't see much out of them.
