Longtail boat question

Hi, does anybody know how the bearings / thrust bearings is designed on a typical thai longtail boats. Is there any interesting links in the subject?

Bearings? I don't think they have.. Designed one not for sure ;)

well i am going to build one soon, and i talked to a guy from motion industries today about my situation. he was very helpful on what i needed. here is a crude sketch of how he told me to do it and what i should use. hope this helps. just keep asking questions and someone on here will be able to answer it. the shaft tube is 1 1/4'' x1/8'', the larger tube is 1 1/2'' x1/8'' welded on to the smaller tube. the cup or race sit inside the larger tube and on the lip mof the smaller tube inside. then a tapered roller bearing goes inside that and is held in place be a 2 piece locking collar. i am going to use 5 oil seals to keep the water out and the oil in. there are 2 brass bushings in the middle of the tube to support the shaft they are 1'' od x 3/4'' id. then one more iol seal at the top of the shaft. there will be a pillow block and bearing above this, but after the u-joint.
