french sailor francis joyon rounded singlehanded with his IDEC a 18 years old 90 ft trimaran nonstop the globe in 72 days-22 hr. http://www.trimaran-idec.com/trimaran-idec/public/page.php?P=static/trimaran/ but where is that translation button?
Its not the Jules Verne Record, but it is in my mind at least even more impressive. Jules Verne record holder is currently the maxi cat Orange1 - 110' Catamaran - Current Jules Verne Holder-64 days, 08 hours, 37 minutes et 24 seconds) Skipper - Bruno Peyron. BUT the boat which joyon (sailing solo) sailed (90 foot and nearly 15 years old) had previously held the record being barely one day quicker, and that was with a full crew! That Francis beat this is, as the French would say, INCROYABLE!!!
