Ski Boat observer seat conversion to captains chair

Is there a way to retrofit a ski boat with a rear facing bench seat to a swivel captain chair so my passenger can look forward? We find ourselves cruising and swimming more than skiing. Forward of the bench seat is storage so an access door would be needed. I heard a conversion kit is available but no luck finding it. The boat is a 1986 Mastercraft ProStar 190. I assume this mod would have a huge negative impact on resale value?
