Salt Deposits on my Boat -Help

Ive had this fiberglass boat for five years. No anti-fouling paint on it. Just this year Ive put it into a berth at the marina. Have been pulling it out every three to four weeks to clean it up. Today I pull it out and find salt deposits everywhere. Never seen this before. What has changed?

Also- I can't get the bottom clean with it being on the trailer. Would a good run in some fresh water clean er' up for me?

everywhere under the water line. Ive washed most of it off, but I have not got the bottom. I will take a pic tomorrow.

You didn't say what kind of boat. Some boats can dry out with the tide and be careened on a beach for access to the bottom.
If it;s becoming an issue, why not paint the bottom? Every time you haul the boat it takes time and risks problems. Surely it would be easier to leave it in the water.

Sounds more like growth starting on the bottom, rather than salt deposits. Do they clean off easily? If not you may have to either pull the boat out more regularly or antifoul it

Ahh, Barnacles. Why didnt I think of that:rolleyes: That makes sense. Takes alot of scrubbing to get them off. Must have left er' in the spit a little to long. I guess I wont bother posting a pic. Still not sure how I will get at the parts sitting on the trailer though. Any suggestions? Its a 1991 19' Calais.

Pull the boat but don't winch it right onto the trailer, maybe a fott or two short. Clean it, then winch it up the last bit exposing the uncleaned parts...
