i was surfing on the internet when i found this website,
i'm amazed by this work,
The differents 3D images of boat are beautifull
i'm keen on sailing since my youth and i use to dream about naval architecting,
is this web site a professional site or just a site to show your work?
I'm 19 years old, i leave in Nantes and i'm doing a school in electronic and informatic,
i wish my work to be in sailing and i want to know if they are many links between sailing and electronics,
i heard that there was a camera procedee to film the sails during the last america's cup but do you know if there are another utility,
if someone speaks french it would be easyer,
or you will support my numerousous mistakes,
PS

pitou,
Please do not apologise for your English - it is much better than my French.
This site is not a professional site, although there are many of us here.
Glad to have you aboard. THere are some french-speakers here, but mainly we work in English. Nothing to stop you posting in French, however. :)

Boats are filled with electronics nowadays. For example, there are depthsounders, radar, radios, GPS, electronic charts, water temperature sensors, electronic engine controls, autopilots and more. The trend is to incorporate many or all the systems through a main computer.

Maybe you can talk to my brother Javier. He is finishing his doctorate in computer science at the Sorbone.

Boats filled with electronics are those filled with those whom don't no how to sail or know a lot about fixing said electronics (salt water putters at least)

There are many other specialized areas of computing in boat design. For example, structural analysis, sail design, stability calculations and many more. Perhaps one of them may interest you.
