"FreeShip" or similar running natively on OS X?

Are there any free hull design programs (or very low cost) that run natively on OS X?

I have an intel based MacBook with 2.1Ghz processor and a gig of ram.

I was thinking about trying to compile FreeShip on this machine, but figured I should probably put my efforts into designing boats rather than figuring that one out! :D

Anyone using OS X natively?
