Colin,
I have started with the plans on the K800 - have decided to remodel the whole thing in a 3D cad package to make sure I understand before I cut any material. Also if I would like to change something minor, I am doing it as I go Along. I am about 75% finished with remodelling. I am mech. engineer by trade.
I live in Pta - would like to contact you directly. My mail is dewald@pneumatofer.com

It's difficult to walking on the deck...

Yup.you`re right there, but its advantage is that you`ll have more space inside...you`ll need to be extra careful when walking on the deck though..:)
Seems like toerails around deck are mising on the photo? Also, what plyood did You use, local heavy one?
Cabin shape gives more interior space, and also provides better stability at large angles of heel. Don't forget that (at original design) this boat has centerboard and short fin keel, and amount of RM from ballast is limited.

Hi Alik, we haven`t installed the toe-rails yet as we build the boat as per plan first..our plan this time was to upgrade it and put essential components to make it more sail-able and safe. Toe rails were one of those and the wishbone mast-lowering device which i found in this forum....We used one of the best plywood locally available here (Sta.Clara Brand) which i think were heavy...
I`m still searching the forum and in the internet for more info`s about toe-rails,etc..

Many thanks,

To ANDY:
I did not make these pictures. I will ask people from russian forum to post the pictures here.
Besides that the designer of this boat is also present at this forum. May be he will add something too.
Could you please wait a little?
