SeaDuck Boat Project:
Anyone interested in getting together on a Sea Duck hunting boat project?
I have a 21 ft Grady White I/O Bowrider and a good running Johnson 90HP PTPT outboard.
The bowrider needs to be stripped out. take engine/outdrive out and trash. Fiberglass up the transom and build a dog landing /outboard bracket platform.
A good coat of Camo paint and a framework for some Como tent and it will be one nice rig.
Ill provide the boat and engine. Looking for partners to do the rest
Sea Ducks are found just offshore around the islands. usually anywhere from 1 to 6 miles. We hunt them in Sept thru January and it can get pretty rough and cold out there. Thats why I want to use a Grady White 21 ft boat. It would need a big swim platform about 4 feet wide for the dogs to jump back on and might as well make it into an outboard bracket to hold a 90HP and a backup 10-15hp kicker.
Theboat needs a roof to keep the snow/freezing rain off but able to shoot out of it. A good Electric heater will be nice with maybe 4 or 6 deep cycle batteries. I have plenty of them.
deck over the front bow to store decoys , anchor and a place for the dogs to get warm and it will be a pretty good boat.
Bag limit runs about 7 sea ducks per person plus Mallards and Geese that can be shot on the way out or back in.
Looking for Sponsors and Partner Helpers who want to do the Sea Duck Charter Boat. Its like getting vested interest and a garrenteed place on a inshore Striped Bass/Sea Duck Charter.
As they say it either takes sweat or money to do something.
Assetts: I have the Boat, Motor, Controls, Electronics & Trailer & Commercial Federal & State licences.
I need a fiberglass job to close the transom and build a outboard bracket/ Dog Boarding swim platform.
A Camo Paint Job. (Sponsors: Here is an advertising opportunity!) Brouchures, Signs, tools, a fabric garage, etc... and we can allways use equipment such as Shotguns, Steel Shotshells, Decoys etc.....
