rib or fibreglass?

I'm buying a boat to use in Greece (Ionian Sea) which is best - a rib or a fibreglass sports boat? Specifically I'm looking at a 16' Marlin or the 185 Bayliner (2004 model).

Some people tell me that ribs are better in the short seas that you typically get out there - any views?

RIB by far. a guy from africa contacted me a while back with the same question. RIBs are an ideal design, being stable in rough water, far more stable than most solid craft.
However, usually more expensive than solid craft.
