If designig a hull with a bulb, Can you include the added length it gives you to your waterline length and work your math from this longer WL versus the shorter DWL of where your real waterplane is. I think this would affect your S/L a bit. Any opinions welcome!

19.65*ABT/Cb, is the bulbous bow wetted surface and it may be added to the WSA for any other formula. is what MikeD wrote in his
wsa -approximate formulas (http://boatdesign.net/forums/showthread.php?t=930&highlight=froude) article. if this includes altered wave resistance calculations around hullspeed for bulb bows i'm not so sure of.
in 2002 i was fast boating around but once back in the hole faced with a very slow boat, and the hullspeed formula was all i knew at that time! someone told me a cat had a double hullspeed from witch i distilled wrong assumptions. still an amateur, i did learn some things since than on this forum here...

you'l survive, its a lot but the math isnt that hard. i like your original 50' trawler cat (http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/1648) and guess you be calculating 2 hulls? cg not to much forward now? i have seen good specs but still like to see a cat hullspeed / power calculation...
