With the secondary bonding of epoxy, can you add additional fiberglass laminates to a lay-up that has cured, been flowcoated, and sanded, or is that just asking for delamination trouble in the future?

Secondary bonding on cured epoxy usually needs the removal of the amine blush and some grinding for bite. Usually I grind first then vac and wash with water not solvents. Water cuts the amine. Some resin formulas are suposedly amine free or small amounts and therefore can be relaminated without much prep. This would need to be discussed with resin manufacturer. I am always leary so I do the grinding.

" been flowcoated, and sanded"...nup, not really, you are asking for trouble.

We would not do this in the yard, so I guess that is all I can say.

What is the job, inside a cupboard or structural? Is it epoxy flowcoat?
