the Baltic 43 old model constructed of kevlar and E-glass hybrid. says it is vacuum epoxy basis what does this mean? does any one know the Baltic 43's production system?

I'd guess either Vacuum-Bagged, or Vacuum-Infused. Either one CAN be used in most places the other would, but the Vac-Infusion will give a lighter part so I'd go that way if it's an option for you (steep learning curve, and high risk of ruining the part if anything goes wrong).

If it's an older boat then it would be female molded with epoxy resin and the core vacuum bagged in.

Also not sure why everyone thinks that an infused hull is always lighter.....it's not, expecially if each skin is bagged seperatly and the core installation is well done

Well, ok, then: VIP is my preference as it gives more time to get everything set up "just right" first, without having to worry about the resin kicking while you're trying to get everything set up.

I would suspect that the answer lies in the third post and that the translator of the original document lacked the background knowledge to make clear the precise nature of the construction.Would an e-mail direct to Baltic elicit the truth?

technicaly vacuum bagged should get 55-65% fiber, infuse 60-70% if your good enough to get it to 70%, then pre-preg shoud be at 70%. So, that says to me all things being equal in set up the infusion would be lighter than the vac bag. Also speaking from experience and burn out tests.
