Does any one know where to find a copy the plans of Arno Days' "Great Cove 21"? It was featurerd in Wooden Boat in June 1995, but I have come up dry looking for plans.

I can never resist a challenge if it involves a little google work!
the best I found was some study plans reviewed' (p218) in this review of '100 boat designs (http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=TmoV9c1oWsAC&pg=RA3-PA218&lpg=RA3-PA218&dq=Arno+Day+boat+designs&source=web&ots=2P503_bw8j&sig=plDYREXpax2ZzCYaXHK_MvmH1aA&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=6&ct=result#PRA3-PA218,M1)
Also http://www.johnsbayboat.com/ kept coming up. Perhaps they can help?
But maybe this is all old news to you.
cheers.

Maybe the maritime museum in Searsport could help. I assume you've asked the crew at Woodenboat already.

Another resource you shouldn't overlook--not to replace Boatdesign, but to supplement--is the WoodenBoat Forum (http://www.woodenboat.com/forum). I believe there are some gents on there who knew Mr Day personally and worked with him. For sure if they themselves didn't, they know someone who did.

I may even have a set of molds for that boat, but I have to ask a friend if the design is the one were discussing. I'll get back to you. Are you anywhere close to Bangor?

I am in Kennebunkport and would be interested in your molds if they are to the Great Cove 21.
thanks

Let me check then. I have to contact my friend. Was this a round bilge stripper? Also, if you gave me the beam I could measure the midship mold and see if the addition of about an inch of cedar would match.

It's a multi chined outboard skiff.

No, mine is round-bottomed. Sorry to mislead you.
